Happy New Year everyone!

I'm breaking in 2015 with this <insert drum roll here> Harry Potter themed wedding! Red and gold, sparkly shoes, magic wands, and even golden snitches for decor at dinner. Don't know what a golden snitch is? Clearly you've never played Quidditch.

This wonderful couple has been together for 11 years! They started dating when they were just 13 years old. They used to call themselves "hugging buddies". Probably one of the cutest things I've ever heard. And now they can officially call each other husband and wife.

Wishing you both many more years of love and happiness!

Special thanks to Michael Glenn Photography for shooting with me!

30th Anniversary | Surprise Vow Renewal | Philadelphia, PA

"Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul."

At the risk of sounding cliche, I will say, love is an amazing thing. It is fierce and it is gentle all at once. It is always full and ever-growing. It is the thing that keeps us going when life makes us believe that all odds are against us. And I do not mean "love" as in love between two people, exclusively. I mean the love that exist in you, for you, around you, and because of you. It is wonderful and simple. We have it, always. It is our choice to bring that love into light and share it with the world. The question is not whether your love is understood, or noticed, or accepted, but rather, did we offer it honestly with all that we are. And if by chance you have found your soul mate, at any point in your life, you know the feeling of having the light of the entire world in your heart no matter where you find yourself. When the touch of that person's hand or the gaze of their eyes feels like home, you are truly unstoppable.

I feel incredibly honored to have photographed this couple. They have been together for 30 years. A simple walk in the park turned into a surprise re-proposal and vow renewal. And in case you were wondering, she said "yes!" Oh, and then their children magically appeared and made her cry even more.

This is what unstoppable love looks like.

Happy Monday! :)

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I'm starting off the week with a very special little boy. His name is Noah. I had the honor of photographing his parents' wedding in 2012. It's so exciting to watch couples grow into families and I'm so happy that I had a chance to be a part of it. Noah gave me a great mix of smiles and stink eyes ;) And I just LOVE his hair! Enjoy!

Brooke and Andrew,

Thank you so much for inviting me into your home to capture these moments. I keep looking at all of them and cannot stop smiling. I hope you had as much fun as I did!

Let's start with the facts.

Fact #1 - Life is beautiful

Fact #2 - Life can seem complicated

Fact #3 - We are living and breathing in this very moment that we might someday forget

For the most part I think I do a pretty decent job of giving myself space, taking deep breaths and loving everyone for who they are. But you know...there's always that day when you wake up startled and it throws off your mood. Oh, and then you find that all the coffee is gone so you get to work still doing that tired squinting face as if the sun is beating into your eyes while inside your office. And no matter how nice and polite your coworker or client is, for some reason you can't stop fantasizing about pushing them into traffic. Is anyone following me here? Okay good. Well, not good. But I know I'm not alone because I'm human. So for those of you that just went "oh my god that basically just summed up my morning".....you need a vacation! Do it. And breathe. Everything is okay.

Some long for white beaches, palm trees, room service and margaritas. I crave dirt and 6 mile hikes with giant s'mores and a starry night finale. Needless to say I needed it. It was beautiful.

After living in a city for the last few years, I find that silence is a rarity. Part of it sort of makes you numb. I love being surrounded by all walks of life in their uniqueness, and at the same time seeing myself in them. But nothing quite compares to a wide green view across miles and miles with no cars, traffic lights or buildings to be found. It's as if you popped the bubble you've been living in and crawled into the world, welcomed with an enlightened sense of being. Lifting your arms up and feeling the wind wrap around your body to cradle you while staring out at such a minuscule piece of land, that looks vast to us, makes you feel tiny in the best way. And what a better way to spend a weekend with no showers than with wonderful friends and a puppy.

So with that being said, let's start off with Good Morning :)
